Not bad but 9 of 10? One of the most overrated game I have ever played
Let's begin with something that is always good way to see whether or not game is more than just copy of previous one: Graphics. Sure, this is not the biggest part of game but it's showing Studio's approach to development process. Here we have strange thing: CoD have not been changed since first MW but nobody seems to have problem with it. Not only graphics, but also gameplay mechanics as well as overall 'save the world' idea for the story are basically the same. So my first issue with this game was lack of progress in almost every possible matter.
Every next game in series should be better, here somehow critics are giving great deal of credit to Black Ops only because it's CoD. They had problem with Uncharted 3, Castlevania, even Killzone 3 was criticize for lack of innovation but somehow CoD series is... Special.
As I said before: This not terrible game, but easy. All you need to do is just .run from point A to point B. Game is no challenging player. Missions are simple: "go there kill them all (or just run to point B)". Another thing is that this game is terribly pathetic. Everything is so God damn important that every few minutes bullet time kicks off... It's starting to be boring after first hour of gameplay.
But! There is zombie mode! However that will be it for virtues of this game. My score is mostly based on split screen experience and mutliplayer. However multiplayer is also disappointing.
In year with so many good games this one does not deserve 9 out of 10.
