Not so dumb in my opinion, after all, no one's saying that kids can't tell games from reality, The point is, that violence becomes more natural if you are surrounded by it all the time, especially during childhood. Violents parents who raise  violent kids are just a prove of that. Please go out and learn something that doesn't come out of a box.

@ppuo so you are saying that if im surrounded by guns and violence then i'm going to become more violent? then why aren't shootings happen more often?

@jsmoke03 @ppuo I believe, although i'm not a specialist, that it depends on much more parameters, like the age of exposition (the earliest, the worst), or how much time exposed to violence and, of course, individual choices too. That's not such a simple quantitative analysis, being more qualitative though. What i'm saying ist that not every kid have means to defend theirselves from violence, psichologically speaking.

Wow.... what a dumb political activist. Why not invest his time in a worthy cause... They complain about violent video-games desensitizing children to violence and that fps games are going to make kids more vulnerable to go on mass murder sprees. Like, common... video games have nothing to do with the cause....there are numerous studies to show that kids understand that games are just games and that real life is different. In fact, I remember reading a study which said that children who played fps games, when asked if they think shooting the in-game guns are anything like shooting the real guns, and if they would ever want to to shoot a gun, and they said no to both. ANyone who wants to take the opposite side of me, watch the Penn and Teller: BULL$HIT episode on this... they are much more convincing (than me).
