User Rating: 10 | Call of Duty: Black Ops II PS3
Every year Activision releases a new Call of Duty, with every release being better than the next whether it be developed by Infinity Ward or Treyarch. So it's easy to say that Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the best game in the franchise. This one improved upon everything from the original Black Ops to the last detail, with new mechanics and major enhancements in gameplay.

CAMPAIGN

Story
It's 2025, and Raul Menendez is "worst terrorist since Osama Bin Laden". A special forces unit is trying to stop his outbreak of attacks. The leader, David Mason, is learning a little bit about his past from Frank Woods, David's father's acquaintance in the first Cold War. So as well as following the main plot, which is put together with lots of action, drama, suspense, gimmicks and futuristic gadgets, you also get to learn a little bit more about what happened after the events of the first Black Ops and before this one. And the fact that the two plots come together so well is brilliant.

Gameplay
Not much needs to be said about the Campaign gameplay. Hmm...well, the story unfolds so well that you always want to keep playing, just like the other Call of Duty games. And the gameplay goes along with the fast-pace of the story. The HUDs either have a classic look or a futuristic look, depending on the scenario. Oh, and BTW, the only good part of the Strike Force missions were the FPS parts.

MULTI-PLAYER

Gameplay
I've always thought the Modern Warfare series had a smoother multi-player, with Black Ops being more for the newer Call of Duty players. Black Ops II manages to deliver the smoothest multi-player of the franchise. It's perfect for players of all skill levels.

Theater
Not much has changed to this theater since Black Ops, however CODcasting has been introduced, which is basically what YouTubers have been doing since the MW2 days: commentating gameplays on various modes. But now that you can do it in-game, it's convenient, and it's pretty cool.

Create-A-Class
Black Ops II's Create-A-Class setup is probably the most convenient and efficient in the franchise. Instead of killstreak rewards, we now have scorestreak rewards, which are rewarded by players doing certain things in the game - while getting kills also rewards you with score - without dying. It is a great idea which also appeals to players of lower skill levels.

Matchmaking
The matchmaking in the Black Ops II multi-player is even more convenient with letting local players sign in to the party with other PSN accounts, just like Xbox has been doing for about 2 years. Why the hell did they wait? Anyway, private matches now allow wager matches, or "party matches" as they are called in Black Ops II. Finally!

ZOMBIES

Gameplay
All the fun of World at War and Black Ops zombies modes were multiplied by at least...infinity. But since it's a whole new game, there are more strategies to develop. That's what keeps us coming back for more. The fun and the strategy.

Theater
Thank the Lord there is a zombies theater mode! It records whole matches, and it includes all the features of the multi-player theater mode except for CODcasting. It's epic!!! It was described you could make your own "B-class" horror films. True dat!

GRAPHICS
Best graphics in the franchise. So...vivid...yet dark...and detailed. Wow.

Oh, don't forget. Something goes BOOM every 5 seconds.
OVERALL
Best in the franchise, with amazing gameplay, graphics and more, Call of Duty: Black Ops II won't disappoint.
