So futuristic, the enemy has acquired lag super-weapons.

Well first off, we can already come to the conclusion that the campaign will be about a russian/arab, warlord/terrorist, invading the USA, only to be stopped by a secret US squad seconds before detonation of their super weapon.Oh, and don't forget, at somepoint this super secret squadron must visit Vietnam. The campaign is nothing special. Now lets get to the point, which is of course, multiplayer. In a sense, the multiplayer is this big, flashy car, with leather seats. It looks nice, but however, under the hood, there is this garbage 2 cylinder engine. The multiplayer has what everyone wants, "cool futuristic weapons", " cool futuristic killstreaks", and "cool futuristic factions". However, the gameplay in this game is rather pathetic. In this game, you will be either GOOD, or BAD. This is determined, unfortunately, by your internet connection. This game has severe connection issues which do result in very unfortunate circumstances. But this is merely a connection issue, right? It's not part of the game, right? Wrong. The game uses a lag compensation method which is used when players from different internet connections are placed on one map together. The game predicts where a player is in retrospect to other players, which is not always accurate. Expect to have shots that clearly hit your target, not damage them. This can hopefully get fixed a few weeks into release. Now, lets talk about gameplay. Treyarch designed this game to appeal to the masses. The masses want SMG's, drop-shotting, and predictable spawns. They got exactly what they wanted. The community complained about camping, and feeble efforts were put into place to counter the use of camping. So this game is clearly tailored towards the one type of game player, which is of course the rusher who racks up multi-kills in the enemy spawn. SMG's are dominant, no doubt. With heavy hitting, 50 round clips, and medium range with high mobility, they are obviously the go- to weapon. This is one of the only games that encourages "dropshotting" awarding players for using rather annoying techniques to defeat their opponents. So treyarch decided they would give run-n-gunners a nice portion of their meal, while kicking more laid back, assault rifle users right in the groin.
The flow of the gamplay is dominated by the styles of the players in the game. You know what this means? Frantic, hectic, no objective, ruthless slaying. With never-ending flank points, and CQB in mind, you have to be crazy not to use a sub-machine gun. (with the exception of only 2 maps, Turbine and Carrier).

So hopefully you can come to the conclusion from this review that you will either LOVE this game, or absolutely DESPISE it. There is no middle ground, so hold onto your god-forsaken receipts if you find yourself stuck in the void of never ending lag.
