A good hunting game with a few minor misaps.

User Rating: 8.3 | Cabela's Alaskan Adventures X360
Cabelas has for some time been making Hunting games for consoles and PCs. Alaskan Adventure brings this tradition to the 360 lacking some core elements from previous games but also keeping the game enjoyable and fun. Let me be the first to say NO DAMN LEADERBOARDS!!!!!! The last few games as some might know had leaderboards to compare different people's trophies over XBL this is a very cool feature which was sadly for no reason taken out. Other than this the negative remarks are very scarce. Little things such as looking down iron sights to aim and still having a crosshair may be a little frustrating and no ability to completely get rid of crosshairs is a huge dissapointment, but it has little effect on the gameplay which is very well done in Alaskan Adventures. Bullet drop, bullet cam, and other features appear along with some new ones such as hunter's sense (slows down time for better shot) . Animals also look and act somewhat realisticly. Fishing, while tedious and boring, is done well but should have been left out like bobsledding.

Graphics are good in this game with rich, varied environments and very detailed animals but the rifles, pistols, shotguns, and pretty much anything you can equip look like a decent Xbox1 game. But honestly don't buy this game for visuals as all of Activisions best of the best graphic designers are working on Call of Duty 3 or Tony Hawk's Project 8. Sound in this game is nice with gunshots sounding realistic and footsteps crunching the snow and patting the ground. For $40 I don't see why this is a bad deal. It sports decent graphics, great gameplay and sound, alot of animals to hunt, and easy-challenging acievements.

I highly recremond this game as a hunter myself to anyone who enjoys FPS games, hunting, or fishing.
