Not the best Burnout to come out for the PS2.

User Rating: 8 | Burnout Dominator PS2
Burnout Dominator was released in March or 2007 and later re-released as part the Anthology collection. There isn't really much to say about Dominator other than it's possibly the worst Burnout to date to be released as it lacks that thing that made the other Burnouts special.

Dominator's graphics are solid and for the most part look great. Things look as they should and don't look or seem out of place at all. However the cars seem to lack detail and depth on the wheels and the other cars are the same deal.

Dominator's main downfall is the gameplay itself though it still plays like other burnout games there are noticeable differences. The courses themselves feel more constrained and tighter than other burnout games. This makes it harder to avoid traffic especially while using boost. The boost system is harder to use to as players can't earn boost while the boost meter is a fire color and even when players manage to make the boost meter go to blue flame mode it gets harder. When the blue fire is engaged players can only continually earn boost while driving dangerously. This is easier said than done because of the tightness of the courses and the constant danger that players are in from running into traffic. The car selection makes it harder to pick the best car available because there is no way to tell the cars apart other then how they look. This makes it hard to choose the best car for a race and have a good chance at winning.

Dominator's audio is solid and it still retains that idea of having a rocking time while doing dangerous stuff.

Overall Burnout Dominator is not the best Burnout to come out but it's still an ok game despite its flaws.
