It may lack a little of what was in the previous Burnout, however Dominator is a truly amazing game anyway.

User Rating: 8.2 | Burnout Dominator PSP
Burnout Dominator is an awesome game that was recently released for the PSP. It features just about everything you'd expect to see from a follow up to the great game Burnout Legends. However, add features and stolen features, plus a change in difficulty can also cause this game to feel alot different.

First thing's first. The Graphics. Truly amazing in this game I would have to say. Actually there has been a dramatic increase in the graphical quality. However, it's not just the cars and tracks and scenery that look awesome. Even small things like the menu and car selection screen have taken a step forward. Although all this is great, you still run into the occasional free or mess up in loading the background. You'll get past this though, and in your head you'll know that this is just a sacrifice for the speed.

Then there is the gameplay. In this installment EA has decided to take out Crash mode. This is a HUGE mistake on their part. However, EA has added some little things here and there that attempt to make up for the large loss. Some of these include a crash breaker type thing that you can do when you've crashed. This is and easy way to get after touch take downs. They have also managed to make turning a better experience. However. none of this makes up for the lacking game mode. I noticed that the difficulty level has increase by a wild ammount. Also another con is that this game has only 88 events. That's 89 events less then the last installment. EA has returned once again with songs that are cool. Although the sound effects aren't quite as good. They are a bit diluted, or quite and the explosions sound like when you pop a bottle cap. Really in this game you'll be disappointed that EA wasn't able to meet the METAL TRASHING EXPLOSIVE standards.

Much like GTA this game is alot like a side step and the Burnout series. I think EA was just getting a game out there so that they would continue to receive all the hype they want. Really all you can say about this game is that it's good on its own and it's worth playing.
