Burnout: 3 Takedown is an outstanding racing game that would satisfy anybody.
There are many unique tracks on three different continents waiting for you to drive on and unlock in Burnout 3. The racing is intense just by itself, but the real fun comes in with the takedown and crash mechanics. It is a pure pleasure being able to crash your rivals and speed away to victory. Drifting around corners is a sweet feature and really comes in handy. So do the shortcuts, which are numerous and a thrill when you come upon them. The crash mode allows you to slam your car right into the path of oncoming traffic to cause mayhem and destruction to make the most money in damage. This mode is really fun most of the time, but it can get a little tricky and frustrating if you don't execute it perfectly.
The graphics are excellent on the road, and each car looks amazing. However, the environments outside the road that you don't ever pay attention to could've used a little more work to make them seem more realistic. The sound effects are incredible, and there are plenty of cool songs to drive to, but the radio talkshow gig gets a little annoying and repetitive after a while.
Burnout 3 is a thrilling game that offers endless opportunities to race, crash, and take down your opponents to get the gold medal. This game itself deserves a gold medal for the awesome gameplay it has to offer.
