If you're a fan of the Buffy franchise, you'll definitely enjoy this game. I remember back in 2002 when Xbox was peaking after its first release of the console they teased previews for this game. I was already a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar and the Buffy franchise before this game, but it definitely intensified my loyalty. The fighting system is excellent, there are so many combos and power moves you could come up with. You're also privileged with using various weapons and combining upgrades to strengthen your weapons or health potions. The dialogue from the characters as you play through the story, is very entertaining. Buffy's dialogue attempting to open locked doors are also humorous. Most of the original cast retain their roles (though SMG doesn't voice Buffy in the game, there is a fair comparison and her likeness is used well). The graphics in Buffy impress for a 2002 game, she moves, fights, and humors just like Buffy. The replay value is extremely high on this game, they should remaster it so that later gen consoles like Xbox One or the next gen version of consoles be graced with this excellent game. Just imagine an HD realistic version of a Buffy game...fanz would go crazy for it! Though I believe if they did remastered the game it would most certainly receive a M rating,because the realism would be intense. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a T rated game but it edges that rating. It's a 1 player game (2 if you use a cheat code to unlock secret Arenas and Survival mode) This is practically a collector's item in the Buffy Franchise. Highly recommend EA games explore the possibility of using ideas from this game for a sequel.
