It's time for the Brunswick Pro Bowling review! For the Wii!

"Hmm, a bowling game on the Wii. Controlled by the Wiimote, it should be a pretty good simulation of a real game of bowling!" These were my first thoughts about this game, until I played it. Why? Well we'll find out in a bit.

There really isn't that much to say about this game, so this review is going to be really short! The principle is this: Pick a premade avatar, or create your own, (why do they looked like they're stoned?) and bowl with him or her in a quick game or a league. A quick game is just that. A single game you can play by yourself or with up to three other friends. If you join a league, you'll have to work your way up by competing and winning against the computer. So there you go. It's a very simple concept, but why didn't I have any fun? I bet you can guess! Yep! The controls were crap!

I couldn't believe it! The bowling game in Wii Sports had way better controls! To bowl the ball, you're supposed to perform like you would bowling a real bowling ball. The thing is though, the motion sensors would not even pick up your movements a lot, so your avatar would just stand there looking like an idiot. I first thought that the batteries in my Wiimote were dying, but nope! They were just fine! So it's back to starting to get your character to bowl the dang ball! Once he finally managed to do so, the ball would roll like this. (Link at the top!) :) Wow…exhilarating. (Link at the top!) :) So I played like this for about 20 minutes, and then I let my brother have a shot at it. And wouldn't you know it, the very first throw went like this! So I watched him carefully and sort of found out what I was doing wrong. So I tried it again, and this time I bowled like you were supposed to. However, that doesn't mean I, and even my siblings bowled like pros the rest of the game. The controls would respond correctly to our throws about 40% of the time! We tried to work with the controls, but in the end, we just stopped playing after maybe a little over an hour, because it just wasn't fun!

Now the controls weren't the only thing that made us quite. It was also the atmosphere of the game. While the graphics do look pretty good, the game becomes really boring! All of the bowling allies are really dull looking. There's no real excitement to the visuals, and the music is just blaa! Now since this game was going for a realistic style, it did succeed that way, but still! They could've spiced things up just a bit! It was just, boring!

There are unlockables you can get like clothing for your avatar and special designs on the bowling ball, but I seriously had no interest in acquiring them.
Brunswick Pro Bowling is not a good game. Now it's unplayable, but it's probably a game you would want to think twice about renting. If you want a boring, crappy controlling, realistic bowling game, here you go. But if you actually want to have fun with a bowling simulation, just play the bowling game on Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort! If you're looking for a game to play with your friends, don't even consider this game. They might not be your friends anymore!

This game gets a 1.75/5 with the title of Bad.
