This title from Capcom is one of my favorite rpg's.

You start out as the young blue-haired boy(Ryu), who lives with his father and little sister. Their mother died(or disappeared) years ago, leaving Ganer, their father, to take care of them. The adventure begins when Ryu's sister leaves the house and doesn't come back. Ganer tells Ryu to go and look for her. He finds her in the woods sleeping beside a huge dragon. After a quick talk about their mother, she encourages him to do the same, but when he wakes up everything and everyone around him has changed.

A massive adventure begins.

BoF has got a stunning atmosphere around it. Something that many rpg's lacks today. The soundtrack is simple but outstanding, and while graphics may look to be somewhat average, they're cosy, and nice to look at.
The battle system isn't ground breaking, but still entertaining.

I can't really say much more. This is one of the games that have made me proud owning a snes. I even think it beats FF3!

If you have never tried this game, it's about time.
