Bomberman is back with yet another version! this time around as budget arcade version for xbox 360. yes...you probably have heard of Bomberman Act Zero and must be wondering...can I give a chance to this one?? Yes you can, if you're into the plain old classic bomberman gameplay. This time there are no 3d, third person, futuristic, sci-fi, halo wannabe stuff included. If you ever played the super nintendo bomberman saga you know what to expect here. Visually the game is quite simple, the player models and scenarios are 3d and remain faithful to the visual style of the series. You can earn new costumes to customize the appearance of your character so that you can look unique when engaging in online battles...cause the strength of the game is in its multiplayer component. the game lacks the single player quest mode from past versions so if you are planning on playing by yourself, bombing cpu controlled adversaries, the fun won't last long, but if you are able to have 3 friends join you to play locally, or through xbox live, then you'll literally have a "blast". Though it doesn't have plenty of features (you can choose 10 arenas and about 4 game styles) you can customize the matches by choosing the power-ups, the amount of time for each match, sudden death, etc. Also new features and costumes are available for purchase through the xbox live game store. To conclude, this is the perfect game if you have a bunch of bomberman afficionados for friends, and if you have a gold xbox live account and want to play online, otherwise it's not the game to recommend to lone players.
