ambitious but disappointing because of 'platforming', limited audience appeal

Everyone likes to defeat monstrous giants, and this is the main concept of the game. However, when all the map looks exactly the same, it is hard to feel excited about next mission. So, I will start with the 'platform' problems: They are all the same (same graphic with a bit different connection), They all seems to flow on the middle of nowhere, The monster that spawn on the platform are all the same with different color, and the Giant Monster is also walking in the middle of nowhere. Then, there is the mission problem: Repetitive mission goal. Don't get me started on the story, this story is horrible. I would have thought that SE would have some sort of quality control on story, but it is cheesier than the cheesiest of the JRPG with all the element that you expect without any slightest impact.

With that said, there are some very promising things in the game. For one, defeating giants are still very stratifying especially when different giants have completely different points of weakness. If the developer can build on this in the sequel (hopefully), for example make the platform actually on the giants, it would make this game an instant hit for certain.
