Don't get me wrong, I have tons of respect for the people that made the game, however it was simply an outdated classic.

First, even if I was old enough to play the original, I didn't, I had no good computer at that time. So as a new player, I wasn't impressed with the whole thing. I'm amazed how people could put their own time and energy to deliver something like that for free, that's nothing short of amazing. However, I was bored and pissed for half the game and could not wait for it to be done (I HAVE to finish a game I start). The bad guys are always the same, the puzzle and not that fun, the guns are so so (but get better near the end). My main feeling is that it's just an outdated game. The FPS games evolve since, and even with a new face, Half life doesn't cut it anymore. Maybe it's the lack of nostalgia, but I doubt it.
But still, congratulation to the developers for their work, that's very impressive work.
