I didn't think it would be as good as it is. But it's a great game. Hard enough to be challenging, but so immersive.
Loaded it up and downloaded the over 200 mb patch and eventually got started playing.
I just have to say that this is one of the best games I have played yet on my PS3. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is very well balanced, and the puzzles are just hard enough to be challenging but not so hard that you can't beat them.
I sit down to play a few minutes just to get ahead and the next thing I know it's been over an hour and I've been totally sucked into the game again.
If I have any issues with the game it is with the interface for hacking the machines in Rapture. Because they are time limited, you have to hurry. And because you have to hurry it can become difficult to keep track of where the cursor is and you can lose track which block you are trying to manipulate.
Other than that I love this game. The story is awesome, the audio and background sounds are perfect, the controls are very easy to understand and the level of immersion you feel while playing really does just suck you into the game.
Highly recommended. I hope the next two games in the franchise are as good because I will probably get them as well.
