What happened?
ADAM... a word that started everything even the civil war was
the reason of the collapse. Some scientific breakthroughs were made in robotics, security system, biology, items but ADAM was a power that allowed a user to splice new genetic material into the user's DNA, enhancing health,intellect and even giving superpowers.However, ADAM was soon found to cause physical and mental damage as more of the user's native cells were replaced by unstable stem cells.
The need for ADAM became an addiction, which became more pronounced by excessive splicing.
ADAM?
Is the raw form of the unstable stem cells harvested and processed from a type of Sea Slug parasite. Stem cells can be genetically manipulated to produce cells that would not normally be present in the human body.
It acts like a form of cancer, destroying native cells and replacing them with the unstable stem versions.
While it is this instability that gives it its amazing properties,
it is also what causes the cosmetic and mental damage to people who use it habitually. In the end, the instability of the stem cells means that the user will have to take in more and more ADAM just to remain sane and healthy.

So you end up in this city and you probably think...
"Nice a horror game with lots of shooting."
No,no,no and again no. If you want to play this game you need
to take your time with everything and think every action you do because there are many ways to kill enemies, you can hack turrets, bots, blow up things and stuff like that...makes you save ammo that you'll need for some Big Daddies and Splicers.
Your Plasmids and Gene Tonics powered by ADAM are a good use in some good combinations so again...
don't rush to kill, stay and think the action you make!
Is it a good game?
I've wrote in short notes trying not to spoil everything but one thing i have to say, it's not good... it's PERFECT!
This game makes you feel like you're in there in the middle of the action struggling to make your way out of the city, it forces you to pay attention to any details and conserve ammo. The gameplay is similar to System Shock the old game that drove as crazy for it's combo RPG/FPS style and BioShock is one great winner in the awards section... a giant among titles.
In the end...
This is a 10 from me, it is one of my perfect games... i'm a cold blooded critic but this one for me it's legend without mistakes.
The game experience is awesome and it's a must play for sure so if you didn't played it yet go and buy it!
And when you see those Little Sisters don't say..."How cute!".
Cause for a harvest or a save you have to deal with
a angry Big Daddy that won't give up easily.
