BioShock manages to grab your attention with an immersive and claustrophobic world, full of interesting characters and great dialogue. The gameplay mechanics arent the best in the genre (an FPS with some RPG elements) but they do their job well enough. Graphically nothing stands out, besides the impressive water effects, though I'm absolutely sure it was an amazing looking game back in 2007. However its artsyle and colorful - though melancholic - world sell us out effectivelly. Just an amazing job from the guys at 2K that trully managed to create a city (Rapture) that feels just as dead as it is alive. Amazing!
Even though is a single player only game, the lenght is fairly high for a game in the genre. The replayability, however, is not good, lacking a New Game plus option (at least that I'm aware of) and after a great twist the urge to play it again will be short, I'm afraid.
The game can drag a little by its end but its well worth the journey.
One classic in gaming, no doubt about it.
