Dear Bioshock Infinite, You're so loud but, you have no soul.

Dear Bioshock Infinite,

Over the last 15 hours I've played you and I have to say it has been quite a journey indeed. You had some very interesting things to say. However, despite your best attempts, I came away from our conversation with a strong sense of deja vu and a bitter taste in my mouth.
You see, while you ended in such a spectacular way, it couldn't wash away the hours of getting there. Not only that but, you paint such a beautiful world to explore yet, it's just that ; All you have done is painted a world and not made it feel alive. The world you speak of begs to be interacted with - to be pushed back upon but, instead it feels like a static screen shot that I can traverse. It's not that you are a bad game per say but, not a great one. Your a shining example of the changes that need to be made in game development today.

In short, you feel like a COD clone in terms of design. A rail shooter that pushes you from one confrontation to the next, interrupting intermittently to show you something. "Show You" is the part that should stand out because I never interacted with the world in some of the ways your characters did, I only watched.
Remember you are a game and while I enjoy a great story, I would like to be apart of it more by playing with it. May I suggest writing a book or making a movie next time?
