Bioshock Infinite is a brave, tantalizing game, that will wrap your heart in bewilderment.

I love the Bioshock series. I remember playing the first Bioshock over and over again because the world you were in, Rapture, was so intriguing and fun to witness. The gameplay was spot on, and the narrative, even more. The second Bioshock was good, yes, but the whole feeling of being in a completely different place and feeling of wonderment was all but lost. Still a great game though.

I just bought a new graphics a week ago and I got Bioshock Infinite for free. So i played it because I played the last ones and wanted to see what this one was like. It was darn good. A few annoyances here and there, but overall, Bioshock Infinite is a great game.

First of all, the story is one of it's best attributes. The story whirls around Booker DeWitt, a hired gun who is out to find and return a girl named Elizabeth. He unknowingly stumbles onto a chair that launches him into the sky and into the wonderful, Americanized heaven known as Columbia. As Booker explores Columbia, he realizes that all of the people are white (well, I did anyway.) When the peeps of Columbia find out he's the false prophet, they go butt crazy and try to beat you up and stuff. I liked the whole story because it reminded me of the original. People goin crazy and shizz in a crazy world. With this in mind, I think this game has one of the best endings I've seen in a long time. Although MGS4 stands at the top for me :p

The gameplay is great altogether. I liked the railways in the sky, in which you could jump on them, shoot an jump off, slicing an enemies face in have. The vigors were great as well, though not as many were available as in the original Bioshock. Though this doesn't make the game bad, it just disappoints me that the vigors were all dumbed down into a small diversity of effects. Anyways, the shooting is easy and smooth (though I wish they had a "smooth mouse" option) and the enemies are fantastic! The Patriot is my favorite. He's an evil automaton who shoots at you with a chaingun whilst yelling out political/religious blurbs; and pissing him off makes him run at you, making the Patriot that much terrifying. The Handyman is cool as well, even though he is completely unoriginal. Giant robot man who jumps like an ape and has an obvious weakspot. Shootouts are fun and exhilarating, with many twists in enemies that diversify the pace of the game altogether.

This game does have a fair deal of stupidness in it. The worst of which is the fact that you can only carry two guns at a time. Who thought that this was a good idea? Why would you change such a fun and awesome aspect of a signature series. Oh yeah, to appeal to a wider audience right? Please,as if you need to, Levine... Also, I didn't like the fact that you could sprint either. Gave me an annoying urge to rush through the game instead of actually exploring this amazing world. Random difficulty spikes are nice, but they get really irritating after a while. The firemen should not be that strong!! Oh well, I digress and move on. Another aspect of the game is Elizabeth. I liked her, even though I found her voice actress to be a LITTLE off putting. Just a little, i dunno, maybe it's just me. Anyways, I liked that you didn't have to babysit her all day long, and you just had to do your thing while she did hers. Just sayin'...

Bioshock Infinite is a magnificent game and deserves the praise. Though the game has annoying changes, it is still a very touching game that should be played by anyone who enjoys a good story. And with that, an ending worth saying the words, "What...the...butts..."

This game is not only good, but also important and mind bending.
