First off I would like to say that the graphics, sound and music are all first rate in this game and normally this would immerse the user fully into the game experience. The story however is dull. Not just dull but badly put together and on rails to the Nth degree. If I wanted to simply read a story then I would have bought a book. If I simply wanted to watch a story then I would watch a film, and I certainly wouldn't pay this price for either. Bioshock Infinite however takes all decisions out of the players hands and just leads them by the nose along a linear progression. There is nothing like the decision making that you would find in say a Bioware game. There is no character advancement that you would find in a decent RPG and certainly no sense of achievement on completing the game, which I did in about 12 hours. Another problem is that this style of game has absolutely zero replay value, so if you are happy to drop that amount of cash on a 12 hour trip through someones bad novella then please do so. All in all pretty boring to be honest.
