A great third person shooter! Check it out!
In Binary Domain You play as Dan Marshel, a member in a team of mercenaries that were sent to stop an organization called "AMADA" from keep producing machines. There is a lot more to it, but the story is just so good that I really don't want to spoil it in this review.
While the characters may seem at first like a group of stereotypes, by the end of the game you will enjoy most of them. Every character have a great personality and they are very likable. The voice acting is great and the reactions of the characters to the different situations during the game are well done.
Visually, Binary Domain looks good. Its not the best looking game out there, but it does look good enough and the facial animations of the characters are fantastic.
The gameplay in Binary Domain feels like a typical third person shooter. you move around, take cover behind different objects in the world and take a part in many gun fights. While the game feels a bit generic, gun fights feel really tense. The thing that makes the shootouts so fun is that every shot feels powerful because of the way that the machines break apart while you blast them with you'r weapons. there are also some epic boss fights against giant machines that can be really challenging even on the normal difficult. The game also gives you the ability to use some voice commands to order you'r team members. it works well enough but i prefer using my keyboard for all of those commands. The multiplayer isn't anything you haven't seen before. Because of that, The game suffers a little bit from a lack of replay value.
Binary Domain is one of the best games i played this year so far. While it feels a bit generic, the fantastic story and atmosphere, the enjoyable cast of characters and the fun gun fights were really all i needed to recommend this game to every action fan! it does worth you'r money and i hope we will see more of BINARY DOMAIN in the future!
