Single Player Campaign, PS3 on Veteran
The Good:
- Graphics are exceptional
- Weapon Variety/Accuracy (especially the scoped weapons)*
- Voice Acting
- The overall game play (despite the story or lack there of) was surprisingly fun
The Bad:
- AI is suicidal
- Almost zero stealth required
- * While plentiful and fun to use, I finished the game and still had only accessed 50-60% of the available weapons in the game. No idea what one has to do to acquire the rest of them.
- Even on Veteran, the game is on the easy side
The Ugly:
- While the voice acting (especially Michael Kenneth Williams of Boardwalk Empire fame) was superb, the story itself was ridiculous. I had a hard time figuring out who were we fighting against and why. Individual dialogue was good, but the plot and ending were poor.
- Had the game freeze on me a few times during game play, requiring system reboot. I would say it was my PS3 if it happened in other games I play on it, but it doesn't.Game was purchased new as well.
Overall, it was fun. While not a big MP'er, I have played some in BF4 and I like it better than the COD offerings. I gave the game a 7 as the game play (when not freezing), visuals and voice acting/dialogue were great. If they could have actually hired someone to come up with a clear story plot and make the game a little more difficult, it could have been a 9.
