Suppression with a crossbow? I love this game and can't wait for the new maps tomorrow but someone will have to explain that one to me.
1 Like @_Roo_ Lol I kinda thought the same thing, but I guess bullets don't exactly blur your vision in real life either, so it's more of a indicator to GTF down.
I'm not too sure I like the suppression system in general... New maps are dope though! I think you'll enjoy them.
@M3o5nster @_Roo_ i think the blurry vision is more of the debris being kicked up from bullets hitting things around you. although its realistic its fucking up all our visions. everytime someone squints there eyes it puts eye strain and makes vision worse, thats happening hundreds of times per game blurring our vision
1 Like Having fooled around with the xbow I can say it kinda sucks. I play engineer mostly so the only useful one is the sniperbow but then I give up the best part of being an engineer, the rockets. So going by that I can't see why you would use it if you're pretty comfortable with your class.
@mikeyvp87 I'm not a fan of it, either. Especially in TDM.I haven't used it. But I hate playing against others who are. I spent a great deal of time yesterday doing so. It's a noob weapon as far as I'm concerned. All they do is run about hip-firing it at others. As long as they hit, you're dead. I saw some pretty ridiculous shit yesterday...It also seems like, as long as you're aiming it, there is no suppression on you. I fired on targets using the crossbow. I'd go through most of my magazine. Hit markers, etc... The works. But it didn't seem to matter in most cases as they still stood there aiming. Despite the hail of bullets, they just wouldn't go down. They'd simply fire that crossbow and YOU'RE down.I'm NOT pleased.
1 Like @lucidw0lf @mikeyvp87 yah but thats pretty much everything in this lagged out game, i just parachuted behind someone and unloaded 2 clips in his back just for him to turn around and kill me with a p90 like it was a one shot sniper rifle. its pretty much whatever the game feels like doing it does
1 Like @mikeyvp87 That's why we kind of like the xbow. It doesn't break the game (yet, anyway) because you have to sacrifice your class strength for better versatility.
It sucks that they add this weapon to the main game, cuz it seems to break it (in the sense of class based play). To keep that from happening (maybe?), I'd have to miss out on these maps.

thats why we have classes. otherwise its just one mash of specialties for everyone to have. Then again over the years in this series the ability to give every class an explosive, long range rifle, smgs, shotguns, etc basically diminishing the point of having classes has diminished. Developers streamlining/cloning the crap out of everything now in days.
1 Like @grove12345 I would say recon got left out in the cold in general on BF3 and I disagree that giving it the power to damage small vehicles is streamlining. Maybe that's where we differ, I don't think giving classes more versatility is a game breaker.
If this was released on the Xbox360 I would be enjoying this, but since it is not I will just have to wait it out. I just can't wait!
can't these guys read? You don't need a 150m headshot, and by the way that was not one. You get it when you get enough headshots to add up to 150m.
@KrauklisThe in-game assignment screen is worded differently than the Battlelog assignment. In-game it says "1 carbine headshot longer than 150 meters" (it says the same for sniper and assault rifle). On battlelog it says a total of 150 meters. We can read, we were just reading the wrong one. Thank DICE for quality control! And thank you for correcting us :)

@K-A_L-A_D-U_R @Aria1368 I'm not sure, but I see your argument. Planetside 2 is as refreshing as Battlefield 3 was, which is all sorts of ironic considering Planetside 2 doesn't cost $100 for all the content.

3 Like @ericroadifer you should give it a shot, you will enjoy it more than these videos, you can get bf3 pretty cheap these days, but i'm not sure it requires authentication code or not

1 Like @M3o5nster Ok well, I dont agree with the part about it being a waste of money because it is still a great game. The fact that the textures are far inferior and only 32 players however is the truth.
I still play GTA San Andreas which has very low-average graphics but because that game is fun as hell, I have completed it around 6 times including once this year. Don't call me shallow when I only said a few words...
@kamikazeespleen Battlefield 3 shouldn't be considered a "waste of money" depending on what system you play on... Maybe, the truth is that you both are too shallow to appreciate gameplay more than graphics.
1 Like @GamerOuTLaWz @Orgil220 @ericroadifer 32?? We wish! Try 24. Still, we love this game on Xbox. We've played on each platform and actually think that certain maps and modes are superior on console. The bigger classic BF stuff is best on PC, but on console the game still rocks.
