Is this the Future for Battlefield Games

This game is quite good but it was a real pain trying to add the expansion (Northern Strike). I fiddled around for hours trying to get the stupid thing to activate and when it finally was activated i didn't really notice that much had changed. I got the deluxe edition for £12 in a sale and i don't think i would of paid any more than that baring how hard it was to get the thing working. BF2142 is set in the future with futuristic guns and transport but after playing BF2 I wanted to play more of BF2 as it just seems a lot better, BF2142 is just a more futuristic version of BF2.
Conclusion:
If you like great online multiplayer get BF2 not BF2142 or you could wait for BF1943 which is coming out this year. The punkbuster thing is really good when you can get it working after hours of messing around with it. Download the demo for BF2142 and BF2 and decide which one you like better before making your all important purchase.
Tip:
If you are a vista user and you are having problems with punkbuster right click on the icon of BF2142 make sure your running as admin and also go into properties open the compatibility tab and put it in compatibility mode for XP.
