By far the best downloadable game I've played!
Gameplay - Battlefield 1943 is pretty much a simple version of call of duty's 'domination' or bad company's 'conquest'. The aim is to retrieve the most points by getting kills and getting your team to capture the 5 flags around the map. Simple yet engaging and fun concept. The controls are classic bad company controls which are easy to use therefore easily accessible to alot of people. In-game it can be a bit querky and 'stiff' at times though, as if you are 'limited' to movement.
Graphics - Battlefield 1943 supports 720p HD graphics, but its screaming out for 1080p. The bright, lush enviorenments of 3 different historic islands are bursting with great graphics, but it could push it a little bit more. The one main thing I thought I should mention in this paragraph is the water effects. They look so eye-catching and real its amazing!
Sound - The sound effects in the game work well, the explosions, gun fire, vechiles. All good.
Replay Value - I could easily pick up this game and continue doing the same thing over and over, that's basically what you have to do as there is only one mode and 3 maps. So basically this game is 'repetitive' right?
OVERALL:
Gameplay - 9
Graphics - 9
Sound - 10
How It Works With Pack-In Item - N/A
Reply Value - 7
TOTAL: 9/10 - Well worth getting considering it's very cheap and a downloadable game, you don't even have to get off your butt to get it! One of my favourite First Person Shooters I have played.
