Good for the $15. Couldn't expect more, couldn't expect less.

User Rating: 8.5 | Battlefield 1943 PS3
Battlefield 1943 is basically an arcade-like shooter. It's a WWII version of Bad Company and a continuation to the hugely famous Battlefield 1942. It takes you inside the Pacific Campaign of WWII.

As for innovation, not much. It's got an improved version of Frostbite (what adds destruction), but otherwise remains the same. The classes are generally balanced, and the game play is generally fun and appropriate. It's got some funny things thrown in (such as soldiers going "YEEHAH!" whenever they get a kill), and has something everyone can enjoy. Sniping, submachine guns, and rifles.

There are some glitches naturally. The graphics have been toned down a bit to get a nice 600mb in size, and the general kills are somewhat glitchy. Otherwise, it's a pretty well put together game for the $15 (or 1500 MSPoints) you spend on it.

It still features vehicles, and also features a dogfight only Coral Sea map, which many users can fly planes and take the war to the skies.

Needless to say, for the price it's not a disappointment.
