Wow. This was one unique game. I loved the story, characters, and all the witty comments the soldiers had to say.

Battalion Wars flat out rocked. Right from the start I was immersed into an atmosphere of war (duh'). Anywho the storyline was cool. It had some subtle relations to WWII and also some obvious points too. The characters were unique and as said earlier the infantry units had lots of witty comments even in the thick of battle. The graphics were wonderful, if a bit cartoony, but it fit the game's overall style. Gameplay was smooth and it was very difficult. I think I got 2 or 3 S ranks on my first try. The bonus missions where you fought as the enemy were also fun and difficult. Also great replay value makes it a game that one should definitely buy. I rented it, but I am keeping my eye out for a used copy, even though there is no reason for someone to get rid of a great game like this.
