The best Batman game. Ever.

User Rating: 9.2 | Batman Begins GC
Batman Begins is, without a doubt, the BEST Batman game ever made.

I wish I had made this review earlier. I got the game when it first was released, and I've played it over and over again, since then--It really is a great game.

Graphics:

They are great. Better than some current games!

Sound:

Also great. The movie's cast reprise their roles in the game, and do a great job. The game features some awesome music, too.

Combat:

The combat is pretty simple. You have a punch, kick, counter, or "special context sensitive," moves, which are:

"Multiple Attack," attacks several enemies at once. "Ground Attack," If you get hit and knocked to the ground, you can perform this. Mid-Jump you can perform the "Jump Attack." You then have your "Counterattack," which should be as self-explainitory as "Roll Attack".
Your "Defense Break" has Ol' Bats release a strong punch that busts an enemies defense, so you can resume a good Bat-Beatdown.
"Final Attack," is ready for use once the thug's health is low; if you don't get interrupted, (by a punch, kick, etc) the guy goes down, for good. And, lastly, there is the "Finishing Move". If your enemy's fear is high and his health is low, you can take him down instantly. Interrogation:

Ah. Now this. This, is cool.
You can (when indicated), go up to some 'bout to pee himself thug, grab him, and interrogate him. Batman holds the guy up, amd asks questions, while punching, headbutting--the works! Finish him once you got the info you wanted.

Fear:

One of the best parts of the game is using fear. When faced with enemies carrying guns, you don't want to take them head on, unless you want to end up with more holes than a Ben Stiller movie. Using batarangs, you can make boards crash, pipes explode, and more--scaring the thugs, causing them to drop their guns, allowing you to beat them up. Scaring and beating thugs can increase Reputation, which should explain itself.

The Tumbler:

Not many of these levels, but the few that there are? They are fun. REALLY fun. You can crash thug cars, police cars; all sorts of things, all while driving faster than Lindsay Lohan on crack. But these levels are one of the best selling points of the game.

Other:

The game sticks pretty close to the movie. Unlike SOME games. *CoughSupermanReturnsCough*. The game features clips from the movie. The game length: It's not too lengthy an adventure, but it's not too short, either. If you only rent, you should finish--depending on how often you play it, how good you are, etc. Replay value: There is no "level select". Once you beat the game, you can't go back; if you want to replay a level, you have to restart the game. But you shouldn't be too worried about that--this is a game you will want to play over and over again.

Whether you are a Bat-fan or not, you should enjoy this game. It does Batman, and the movie, justice.

Most Batman games before Begins came along were disappointments....and Batman Begins: The Game is far, far from a disappointment.
