A great game, despite what people say
Story: I won't explain the whole story but I will say it is based on the film's story with a few extra things thrown in.
Gameplay: Batman Begins features a few different modes including the main story mode, a few Batmobile levels and Gallery of fear.
The main mode is quite short and also quite easy but I found it very enjoyable. While it is a bit linear there a alot of things you can do. These include fighting, gliding, throwing Batarangs and smoke and flash grenades. You can also climb pipes and other things too.
I found the Batmobile levels to be really cool. Everything is very fast paced and the car handles very well. There are only two missions involving the Batmobile which is a bit of a shame.
The Gallery of fear is a nice feature. You basically walk around a prison looking at different enemies that are in the cells.
You can also unlock movies and classic Batman suits.
Graphics: While not brilliant they do the trick. Everything is nicely detailed and there are some good effects added. They represent the atmosphere of the movie very well.
Sound: Everything seems good to me in this area. There is a lot of moody/atmospheric music during the levels with some added action type music. The various sound effects are well done and while the voice overs could be a little better, it earns points for having the actors from the film providing the voicers
Controls: The controls are simple yet effective. You have your punch button, kick button action button and jump button on the face of the controller. The control stick for movement and the C-stick for the view. Z is to choose items from the inventory while using the d-pad to highlight them.
Replayability: I've only played through this once but that's because I was renting it. The added Batmobile levels add quite a lot as you can do time attacks and various other things. Also the main mode is really cool so you might want to play through at few times, maybe with the other suits.
Altogether I really enjoyed this game even though it's quite easy. I'd suggest buying it as it's very cheap nowadays.
