The game is all set in events previous to Arkham Asylum where the Jocker is an unknown individual and is being faced for the first time by our Dark Knight. The game has all the essentials from the earlier two editions and much more in terms of difficult hand to hand combat with much more matured enemies. What actually makes this game more interesting is the storyline where the Dark Knight is finding the Black Mark and later the story takes all together a new turn with introduction of Jocker.
As was the case in earlier editions the characters are very intense and carry the same charisma in this editions too, we need to acknowledge the game designers who ensure that the unique identity of each of the characters is well defined and portrayed throughout the game. Along with the first encounter with Joker the game also introduces various assassins who turns out to be boss fights in between the game. The game storyline is more intense as it portrays as what happened before the Arkham Asylum events thus the gamers who have played the previous two editions will have a very different felling towards the end.
Overall a very good game which is a worthy part of Arkham series.
