Finally a superhero game that get's it right. Really being the Batman.

User Rating: 9 | Batman: Arkham Asylum PS3
Batman:Arkham Asylum of course is the story of the caped crusader. It starts out with our hero capturing the Joker once again. Though he went down a little to easy for Batman's taste, so our hero accompanies him into the asylum where the Joker manges to escape and take over Arkham due to a devious plot. Now as the Bats we must track him down while avoiding certain death. Along the way you fight many of classic villains such as the Scare Crow, Killer Croc and Poison Ivy.

Controls: This is something they really did well. As I played through I never fought the controls just the bad guys. Fighting the enemy's is pretty much a button mashing experience but it looks so good and fluid that you will rarely tire of it. At some points you must stay hidden and take the enemy's. You this by any manor of creative ways, pull them over railings, jumping and drop kicking them, explosive gel are just a few ways to take out your foes.

Sound: Here's where the Batman fan in me giggles in pure glee. They have put together a great voice acting group many of which from the Batman: Animated Series. Mark Hamill does one of the greatest Joker voice there is. And this really deepens the experience of this game. Which brings me to...

Graphics: This is a very good looking game even by todays standards. They do a great job of making Arkham a dark place where you can imagine the like's of the Joker being locked up. Character models are spot on and looks great moving around. Lighting is nicely done as well, making it fun to move around in the shadows.

Length: This is a decently long game if you are getting all the hidden riddles from guess who, the Riddler. About 20 hours. If not you could probably beat it in half the time.

Finish: This is a great game that really has no big flaws and the things it does well combine to make one of the greatest experiences I've had gaming for some time. I give it a 9.0 out of 10.0
