Banjo and Kazooie are back, and this time their portable.
This in my opinion is a disappointing as the N64 ones took around 25-40 hours if you wanted to collect every jiggy. I know its too much to expect a GBA game to be the same length as a N64 game, but being 4-6 hours long on your first play through is just to short in my opinion, 8-10 hours would been more acceptable in my opinion, but not 4-6 hours. Also this time round the transformations aren't as good/creative as previous ones and the missions you have to do in order to get a jiggy don't seem to be as inspired as the N64 ones as most of them come off as seeming somewhat plain. Sometimes so plain and dull it can seem like a chore.
By now you are probably tired of me comparing a GBA game to an N64 so I'll shut up about that now. But after all these bad comments I have made about the game you may think how did he give this game a 7/10 with all of these complaints? The answer to that is that at heart this is still a Banjo game, except now portable. It has great 3D graphics that are blended well with 2D backgrounds and I stated before the game is really just a simplified version of the N64 games which means it's still a quality game (considering where talking about Banjo 1 and 2, not just your average game). My only major complaint is that the game is not very long or very fleshed out (not as much variety and polish). Overall though if you need Banjo fix this will give you that rush you need, even if it's only for 4 or so hours, but then again you can always replay it over and over. I have about 3 times and still find plenty of fun to be had, even if can come off a little bit bland and dull sometimes.
