Probably the best, most realistic Baja game on the market.

User Rating: 8 | Baja: Edge of Control X360
If realism in racing is your thing and you just can't wait for Gran Turismo 5 then this is a good place to start. Out of every offroad game I've ever played Baja: EoC is the most realistic. Driving on these terrains is actually difficult. You are literally on the edge of control all the time. The long rally races are the real star here, although they are broken up into checkpoints. Personally I was looking forward to a 4 hour, uninterrupted race, but you do occasionally get a breather.

This game is hard. Even on the easiest setting the computer will whip you soundly for even one mistake. With the unforgiving terrain that mistake is nearly inevitable so be prepared to lose often.

Multiplayer split screen is really fun. Up to 4 players can share but unless you have a very large screen you really have a restricted field of vision. Online supports 8, I believe, but I can't say firsthand because I don't subscribe to Xbox Live's gold service.

Graphics: 8 - Great models and fantastic huge terrains leave you with an ample and immersive playground.

Playability: 7 - While the controls are just great the game itself makes things so hard they can feel either unresponsive or touchy. In reality its neither but that's the appearance it gives.

Sounds: 8 - Well there really isn't much in the way of in game music but you can use your xbox to play music in the background. However it kind of feels out of place in this game. The actual sounds of racing are well suited for this experience.

Overall: 8.0 - A great racing game and definately worth the now-discounted price. Great multiplayer for 2 player split screen. Hard, but fun.
