Feels like Left 4 Dead 3

User Rating: 8 | Back 4 Blood PS5
I recently downloaded this game from PS+ Extra. I use to play Left 4 Dead 1 & 2. This game is totally the spiritual successor to L4D. I was not deep into L4D but I had not played it in forever so I gave Back 4 Blood a shot. The gameplay felt strange at first but then I got use to it. Something about the aiming sensitivity was weird, I just got use to it and did not edit the settings. The graphics are on point, looks really fresh. The online community is cool. Matchmaking does not take long to find co-players and when someone leaves, a bot seemingly takes over. There is a lot of cooperation involved like sticking together with your team and completing objectives as a team. If you go out on your own and split from the team, it is easy to get overwhelmed by a zombie horde. B4B does have live service vibes. You can purchase skins with supply points, an in-game currency. Which is very convenient as I usually don't spend real money on cosmetics, at least I get to unlock them with progression. Also feels rogue-like since the weapons and supplies you find in-game you don't get to keep if you quit or move onto a new act. This game is a fresh break from playing other shooters. If you have friends to team up with, it is even better. I've been playing for about a month now and will continue to grind zombies. Finishing a mission is very satisfying.
