A Cute and Fun Adventure
The game does not begin with a lot of action, but focuses on the story. The main character is a young girl named Rhen living a quiet village life. The story quickly progresses and you take control as Rhen starts her adventures. Other characters are introduced as the story goes along and some of them will join you on your quest. Each character has a little personality and it can be hilarious to watch some of their interactions as the characters get to know each other.
As you go through the game to complete the major quest, side quests come up, many of which are necessary to complete the game. Often, only a few details are given about these quests and a lot of exploring and wandering around ensues. Sure, this can be fun and you never know what you will stumble upon in a cave system or some dark woods. However, it can get tedious at times to not know what the next step is or to get to one point and realize you need to go back to another island to get a certain item.
The enemies can sometimes be tough to defeat, but each character has different skills and with some experimenting, every enemy can be defeated. New weapons and spells can be picked up along the way and it is easy to level up quite quickly in this game. The enemies can be rather funny-looking sometimes, but there are a lot of different ones, so the fighting doesn't get too tedious.
Overall, I loved the game and would recommend it. There are a lot of cute and fun details and a lot of fun things to do in the game. The world of Aveyond is a whole world to get lost in and enjoy. There are several different cities and villages and each one has its own vibe. Take time to explore them and truly experience this awesome game!
