When I read the description of Audiosurf on a Steam Update; I was intrigued enough to pre-order the game. What the hey, it was only $8 at the time. Even at the $10 normal price it wouldn't be a heartbreak if the game sucked. What a pleasant surprise. This is a game that gives your hands something to do while you listen to music. I've discovered some music, I didn't even know I had. My MP3 library is over 50 GB, but Audiosurf plays music from a pretty good variety of audio formats (although I recommend ripping CDs to HD for performance).
The game earns it's paltry asking price in the fact that you get a customized track to ride based on YOUR music. Now add online scoreboards and a friend with a competitive spirit, you've got more fun when the email comes in to inform you that your buddy has just beaten you on three songs. Time to go play those again. Between this CoD 4, and Tiberium Wars, I have no time.
