The origional Asphalt for the N Gage was widely hailed as the best N Gage racer to hit the game deck. Now, at the end of the Gages lifespan, Asphalt 2 comes trickling through, just in the nick of time!

Asphalt 2 improves on Asphalt in almost every way. As soon as the card goes in your 'gage, your introduced to Moby's "Lift Me Up" single rather than the slightly irritating techno of the first one. The graphics have been improved, with new levels that look stunning, more cars than the first and more options than ever.

As is the norm with Asphalt, the levels are all very fluid and solid - The cars have a sheen on them that makes them look authentic. Gameplay has been improved. As well as the standard "Evolution" mode, there are now a plethora of other gametypes to play: Bandit, Championship, Elimination and Cop chase. If you complete "Evolution" in a hurry, then you've still got a long way to go to claim the completed award!

The handling has also remained unchanged. The cars drift, arcade style. But this adds to the fun, and creates some fantastic races! The game will keep you playing til your battery goes. And then some. Truly a fantastic title for the underrated handheld.
