XCOM: Enemy Unknown arrives on Android

The well-regarded turn-based-strategy game is now available on Android.

The touch-enabled version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown previously released on iOS is now available on Android for $9.99.

The critically acclaimed Enemy Unknown was first released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in 2012. Developed by Firaxis, it was a revival of the classic strategy series that hadn't seen a game released in more than a decade. As a turn-based game, it's well-suited to a touchscreen interface.

At $9.99, XCOM is more expensive than most mobile games, but keep in mind this is the same game that was a full-priced release on PC and consoles. It does not, however, include the content released as part of last year's Enemy Within expansion pack.

I have to wonder if releasing an android version of Enemy Within is reasonable, as there are some Android phones more powerful than the iPhone 5?

I'd play it but I feel it's too time consuming for a mobile game. And the install size is huge.

I wish this game was re-released on PS vita

I wish the FPS xcom game (The Bureau: XCOM Declassified) was more like X-COM Alliance, and less, much much less then Mass Effect. :(

But I guess we'll never know, thanks to the stupid political agenda they had going.

Well, finally a mobile game worth playing. I'm terribly tempted to buying it, even when I know that I probably still wouldn't be playing anything on my mobile, just for the sakes of owning it.

I never seem to find system requirements for these damn android games.

I don't wanna buy the game and then find out it doesn't even open.

Hmm, I wonder why the game is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

If it's even half as good as the console version, I'll be getting it this weekend.

Being able to play XCOM any time I want is a bad thing.

@flashn00b  first ones that come to mind: galaxy 4/5 , Nexus 4/5 , HTC have a couple of new iterations of the "ONE" line with amazing specs and motorola have the moto x and a couple of older models which easily surpass the Iphone5 capabilities.

@b74kd3th @WereCatfI wasn't aware it's available on Android-devices. I think I'll add that to my wishlist then, it is a such fun little game.
