Starting today, December 9, and running through December 26, all Xbox One consoles will drop in price by $50 in the United States. That means you can get a new system for just $300, which is the same price the console was offered for on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The PS4 is also on sale for $300, but Sony's offer ends on December 19.

Microsoft has also announced a new digital game sale. From December 22 to January 7, Microsoft will offer a variety of "Countdown" deals for Xbox games on a daily and weekly basis. In addition, retailers across the US will offer other holiday deals, though these have not been announced at this time.

The Xbox One outsold the PS4 in the US during October. Very soon we'll find out which system came out on top for November, as NPD data is expected to be announced tomorrow, December 10.
