Xbox One 60fps Game DVR Capture Goes Live - Report
Preview Program members can now reportedly capture gameplay at the high frame rate.
Xbox One Preview Program members can now reportedly capture gameplay footage at 60fps, a major improvement over GameDVR's previous 30fps limitation that had been in place since launch. New videos posted on Xbox.com (via Reddit) seem to reveal the improved frame rate support.
The 60fps gameplay capture functionality appears to be available only for Xbox One Preview Program members at the moment.
Typically, Microsoft uses the Preview Program to test new features before they are released publicly. We've followed up with Microsoft, asking for more information.
Access to the Xbox One Preview Program is by invitation only.
Microsoft has not yet announced the new features coming to Xbox One through its expected May update. It now certainly sounds like 60fps GameDVR support is going to be included, though of course we'll need to wait to hear directly from Microsoft to find out.
