Microsoft revealed that the Xbox Mastercard is now available to everyone in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. The card was first introduced in September 2023 to Xbox Insiders.

With its availability expanded, there are now new perks that come with the credit card, including:

  • When $7,000 or more is spent within first 12 months of opening the card account, both new and existing cardmembers can earn two three-month of Game Pass Ultimate to gift to friends or family.
  • Owners are upgraded to Level 2 of Microsoft Rewards, and will start earning rewards faster with the credit card
  • New Spotify Premium Individual users earn three free months on the service, applicable to both new and existing cardholders. Boost the volume with three free months of Spotify Premium Individual for new and existing cardmembers,
  • Cardholders get access to Barclays Money Basics

Those who use the Xbox credit card will earn five times as many points on eligible products on the Microsoft store, and three times as many points on eligible streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, along with dining delivery services like GrubHub and DoorDash.

The card has no annual fees and its existing perks include 5,000 points ($50) and three months of Game Pass Ultimate for new members after the first purchase. Cardholders can also access their own credit score for free and have $0 fraud liability protection.

Microsoft isn't the only company to roll out its own credit card. Sony launched its own PlayStation credit card with Visa all the way back in 2008.
