WWE SmackDown! Here is the Pain
THQ announces that its latest WWE-licensed wrestling game for the PlayStation 2 has shipped to stores in North America.
THQ announced the North American release of WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain for the PlayStation 2. The game, which has been developed by Yuke's, features no less than 65 WWE superstars, an all-new season mode, and a number of match types new to the series, including first blood, elimination chamber, and bra & panty.
"Unlike its predecessors, WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain features a season mode in which the gamer actually earns cash to unlock legendary superstars, hidden arenas, and costumes," said Nelo Lucich, vice president of interactive, JAKKS Pacific. "Because of the amount of attention put into each detail and mode, fans have a unique gaming experience each time they play. We expect this fifth title in the SmackDown! series to be yet another top-seller."
