Groove Games has today released the first information on Western Outlaw for the PC. The game, which is currently in development at Jarhead Games, will see players assuming the role of a mysterious gunslinger arriving in a small town looking for peace and quiet. Unfortunately, the gunslinger is eventually framed for a crime he didn't commit and, since everybody in the troubled Western town wants him dead, players will be forced to use their skills to stay alive and evade the law.

Western Outlaw will feature a total of 10 levels, and by the time they progress to the end of the game, players will have survived gunfights with other gunslingers, thwarted a train heist, fought their way through an abandoned mine, and rescued a girl from a rich tycoon. Weapons in the game will include six-shooters, rifles, and shotguns, and players will also get to ride on horses, mine carts, and stage coaches.

No release date has been confirmed for Western Outlaw at this time, but we'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
