Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, PopCap's self-described "weird" shooter based on the popular strategy series, comes to PC tomorrow. But don't call it a port.
"It's not a port," creative director Justin Wiebe said in the video above. "We have so many hardcore PC gamers on our team that live and breathe PC. So everything from our UI to how the mouse-driven controls are going to work, everything has been looked at from PC gamers' [point of view]. PC gamers are amazing gamers and we need to make sure that it's going to satisfy them and what they're looking for from a shooter on PC."
Though the PC version of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will have mouse-driven controls, it also supports gamepads. You can see the full minimum and recommended PC specifications below.
The standard $30 PC version of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare includes the main game and the previously released Garden Variety and Zomboss Down DLC. You can also buy a $35 digital deluxe version (exclusive to Origin) that includes 150,000 in-game coins, two booster packs, and a custom accessories pack.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare originally launched in February for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game comes to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in August, with the latter version running at 1080p/60fps. For more on Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, check out GameSpot's review.
