Witcher 3 $39 Codes Legitimate Despite Dev Accusation, Retailer Says: The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red and retailer Green Man Gaming are in the midst of a public spat over The Witcher 3. The developer says fans should not buy from Green Man Gaming gaming because the site obtained its keys from an "unknown source" and that CD Projekt Red would see no revenue. Sony "Nailed It" With PS4 and Deserves "Victory" Over Xbox One, Ex-EA CEO Says: Former Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello made some heavy comments this week at the GamesBeat Conference in California. World of Warcraft Loses Nearly 3 Million Subscribes in Three Months: Ouch. As part of Activision Blizzard's latest earnings report this week, the mega-publisher announced that subscribers dropped from 10 million at the end of 2014 to 7.1 million for the quarter ended March 31. That's a drop of 2.9 million.

How much will the Oculus Rift VR headset cost when it arrives in early 2016? That's the question put to Oculus VR VP Nate Mitchell during a recent TechCrunch Disrupt interview in New York City. He doesn't reveal the exact price, but describes it as "high-end," also noting that price should come down over time as VR grows in popularity. Watch the interview here.

Someone's dad recreated all the taunts in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. This is amazing.

Ubisoft this week announced a Far Cry 4 Complete Edition BUT it's coming only to PlayStation 4 and PC, and it will be released only in EMEA territories, the publisher explained. Versions of the package for Xbox One and last-gen consoles are not in development.

During an earnings call this week, Electronic Arts announced that it expects another 22 million combined Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles will be sold this calendar year, adding to the 27 million+ already sold. This is a good thing for EA, maker of big-time multiplatform games. EA also notes that, "This is much faster growth than in previous generations." To make its case, EA also pointed out that an incredible 80 percent of all Battlefield Hardline sales were on Xbox One and PS4.
