Weekly NPD PC game sales chart: November 23-30

The Sims saturate this week's chart, joined by old favorite Madden NFL 2004 and backed up by Call of Duty.

Comments

Looking at this week's NPD PC sales charts, one may feel a sense of deja vu. Call of Duty remained dug in at number two, while The Sims: Makin' Magic topped the list for the fourth week in a row. The chart also made way for another Sims title, the seven-month-old Sims: Superstar expansion pack, which re-entered the chart at number five. Superstar and Makin' Magic were also joined by a twin Sim sibling, The Sims: Double Deluxe, which moved up to number three.

The huddle of Sims was joined by another Electronic Arts title, Madden NFL 2004. Released back in August, the football returned to the chart at number six, presumably on a wave of holiday gift-buying.

Sliding this week was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which fell four notches to number seven. Halo: Combat Evolved also lost ground, dropping from seventh to tenth place. Microsoft's Age of Mythology was down two points, falling from sixth to eighth. Backyard Basketball dropped one notch to number nine, while the Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection climbed one slot to number four.

Gone from the chart were Uru: Ages Beyond Myst (last week's number nine) and the Dungeon Siege expansion pack Legend of Aranna (number 10).
