Update: 7 Blades

Although Konami is willing to reveal very little about the gameplay at this point 7 Blades certainly looks like one of the more promising games that Konami has in its PS2 lineup. It seems that 7 Blades, a true Samurai game in the style of Bushido Blade or Tenchu, is set in the action genre where players must slay several enemies in a medieval Japanese setting. The screenshots already prove that the special-effects look topnotch and could end up being on par with other games in the genre for the PS2.

According to Konami, 7 Blades is slated for a release in 2001. Enjoy the screenshots. GameSpot will have further information on the game as it develops.
