Dead Island Riptide is a blast. Pure zombie mayhem at its finest. Don't listen to the reviews if you liked the first one.

Pretty solid for Tomb Raider to be in the top 3 after two months.

Just more proof that GameSpot is full of shit. With Riptide getting a rating of 4, they're trying to tell us that it's the worst game of the year? Seriously GameSpot get a grip, your reviews and opinions are fine but your rating system is beginning to be completely bias. (I could of  believed  a 6 or 7, but now I won't trust any of the ratings on here)

Good to see Injustice in second. I don't really care for fighting games, but that game is really good. Cannot get enough of it.

How is this possible? I mean the game got a 4 rating?

It's interesting how quality doesn't always equate with sales and vice versa. Dead Island was an interesting new IP but it would seem that the developers have become a bit lazy.

It's an awesome game and perfect to play co-op. It's not too late to change your 4.0 rating, what were you thinking giving it 4.0?

These lists are not very accurate, since they don't include digital sales.

I got the game for $22 and thought they fixed bugs from the first game... They did not. It still has all the bugs from the first.

I only played about 2 hours of the game and stopped. Can't stand all the bugs. I'll have to wait many months before some of them are fixed.

So if you think this game is an improvement over the last... It's not.

Stay away!

People will buy garbage.. and so long as gamers keep Dead Island series as their #1 bestseller, Techland will continue to push out garbage out of their studios.

glad to see DD:DA in the list...but seriously dead island being first is another proof how mindless the population is.

GTA IV creeping in! i will say one thing if R* don't release GTA V on the PS4 & 720 it will never sell as good as it predecessor! 2 years after its release it will stop selling where as IV has been selling for 5

Riptide is abysmal, only reason it's still on top is due to the lack of any big releases this week.

I'm curious to see how Metro does next week. The game looks great, but I don't have much faith that a barley advertised, single-player only game will sell decently.

@grnsuperman4 Like I said 100 times, you don't pay - you get around a rating of around 4.

This is why GameSpot will go down the crapper soon.

@Sefrix Dead Island Riptide is a very solid game. It's cheesy and fun. If you weren't a fan of the original, steer clear of this one.

@Sefrix That's why you market your game to the masses for The Ultimate Profit Margin. Bonus if the game didn't require that much work or Q&A.

@Sefrix Sadly, you're right.  How the hell is Star Trek still in the top 20? -_-

@Elann2008 Enjoyed their first CALL OF JUAREZ series (not The Cartel) much more.  Hope GUNSLINGER does well in a few weeks.  Techland rivals Rockstar with Old West storytelling.  Would much rather see them put more energy into the Wild West over Zombies on an island.  Oh well, that's just me...

@Elann2008 Dead Island "isn't" garbage

the multiplayer is amazing, try it yourself

but if you were talking about the graphic, yes it is not that good

@chocolate1325 Because the co-op is fun, I completed 100% achievements and all. They didn't improve on the first one, but it was still fun. I only ran into a few bugs and had the game crash a couple times. Much less than Skyrim or Borderlands 2 which are rated much higher.

@OuTLaWzGamer"Other people have a different opinion on a game i've never played, therefore they are mindless." Good logic. Ever think that maybe some people just had fun playing Dead Island?

Enjoying something does not make one mindless. I loved playing co-op with my friends in Dead Island. It was a blast and gave me a good opportunity to play with people I haven't played with in a while.

While I do feel it's a shame that they didn't fix the problems of the first game for the sequel, calling someone mindless for purchasing something they enjoy is unjustified. I wish as much as the next person that the games I loved sold more and games like Call of Duty didn't affect the mindset of the businessmen in the industry. However, I will not insult the people who play those games because they have different tastes than I do. The attitude of many people on this board is not right.

jasten

@OuTLaWzGamer considering the epidemic of horrid gaming journalism... mindless would be not buying the game because of a piss poor review like Gamespots.  Thankfully, gamers knew what they wanted and what they were getting and it's showing.

Stop listening to the "professional" reviews... very little professional about them anymore.

@ArataWata In the Swedish weekly charts, Battlefield 3 is still in the top ten (no. 7) for PC games and SimCity is number one both for PC and multiformat. Different tastes in different countries, but I seldom like that taste.
