Electronic Arts and Krome Studios today announced that Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue has shipped to retail. The action platformer is available now for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox, copublished by the two companies. The first title in the series, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, was the biggest-selling Australian-developed title of all time.

In the game, Ty learns that Evil Boss Cass has broken out of jail and plans to take over the world, starting with Ty's home turf: the Australian outback. Ty once again bands with his best mates to defeat Cass' reptilian henchmen with an arsenal of upgradable boomerangs, mechs, and vehicles.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue is rated "E" for Everyone and carries an SRP of $19.99. A Game Boy Advance version of the game, which will be in stores tomorrow, will sell for $29.99.
