It's a plague, this Shadow Madness.

In Arkose, formerly a happy, sleepy kind of planet, seeds of unrest have been sown, and everyone is growing mistrustful, cynical, and downright detached. Puzzling "gadgeteers" create various technological goodies and keep their distance from all the others on Arkose. But one night the plague strikes. The planet is decimated by this disease, which throws its victims into madness.

In the final stages, each lunatic tries to escape his own shadow - hence the name of the disease. "It's as if some immense, demonic nightclub just shut its doors at 2am, spewing its inebriated, bloodthirsty, vicious patrons out into the world all at once," Crave Entertainment says. Finally, character Stinger and friend Windleaf set off to find out where the madness came from and battle the evil that lurks behind it.

Crave promises 40 hours of gameplay on this PlayStation title due the fourth quarter of 1998.

Also from Crave Entertainment is Milo's Bowl-A-Rama, "a 3D blend of miniature golf and bowling," for the N64.

Essentially, the game is supposed to focus far more on bowling skills and accuracy, and according to developers, there's a character control mechanism that means that the longer you play the better you'll become.

Due out in the third quarter, Milo's has three modes of play: league elimination, puzzle, and multiplayer.

There is a number of different bowling alleys, with all kinds of lanes, like an S-shaped lane and a zigzag lane (obviously, this is one area where the miniature golf part of the game comes into play). It's set in the future and promises to be "a realistic bowling experience with a great deal of control."
